Ross just found out that he is no longer on probationary terms with his employment, which is excellent news for job security. So it's a little strange to think of this move as a permanent one (and it might not be - we have some option of transfer should we miss West Michigan a lot) but it is great that this job is a permanent one.
I fly down to Cincinnati in a little over a week. This will be my first visit to the new house and neighborhood. I'm excited to start thinking about this adventure as a "real" thing instead of something hazy in the future to look forward to.

The Big Move
The initial reason for my starting a blog way back when was because I thought we were going to be moving in the near future. Of course, my plans aren't really mine because that didn't happen. On March 11, we found out that Ross had been accepted into the IRS as a estate tax attorney down in Cincinnati. Since that day, life has seemed like a whirlwind.
March 11 was a Thursday. By Wednesday, March 17, Ross was on a plane heading down to Philadelphia for a 5 week training stint. He spent 3 weeks there, got to come home for Easter weekend, and then spent another 2 weeks. After coming home for a day, he drove down to Ohio and lived for a month with an elderly couple that rents rooms for airline personal (called a crash pad because the average person is only staying 4-6 nights a month there). It was difficult for him to share a kitchen, living room, and yes, bathroom, with the family and so this motivated him to find an apartment as soon as possible.
Last week, Ross and I signed a year lease to our new apartment. The apartment is house style (see below) and we are renting the second and third floors.

I'm so excited. We are going to be living in Columbia Tusculum near a park, the river, restaurants in walkable distance, and near the busline. Our new address is:
** I was reprimanded for putting our address on here.... eh. Sorry.
The next month for me will be busy selling and packing our things to get ready for the big move on June 13. Check back for more updates :)
